Description:
It consists of a strong SS tank with an SS top cover and tightening bolts. Also known as Syrup Filter Press. Filtering unit shall be fitted in the center of the tank and consist of one of SS plates with perforated screens and interlocking cups. The SS top cover shall fit on the gasket and the tightening wing nuts shall provide the ensure the leak-proof seal. A pressure gauge and an air vent shall be provided on the top. The filter press shall have following features.

Operation:
Here the direction of flow of liquid is exactly opposite to the flow in standard filter i.e. the impure liquid to be filtered enters the filter from the bottom into the center channel & goes to the top of each plate. The clear filtrate flows out from openings on side of plates to the shell & then to the outlet. This ensures almost 100 % filtration of the liquid which is not so with the standard flow type.
